From February to August 2024, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Allissa Richardson at the Charlotta Bass Journalism & Justice Lab. My role was to help develop and elevate the Lab’s brand identity, ensuring they had the tools and resources needed to continue growing and making an impact. Through focused efforts in branding, social media, marketing, and multimedia projects, I worked to establish a strong foundation for the Lab’s ongoing success.

During my six-month contract with the USC Charlotta Bass Journalism & Justice Lab, I focused on developing a cohesive and impactful brand identity. This involved creating a unified visual language that resonated across all platforms, ensuring that the Lab’s mission was clearly communicated through its branding.

I brought consistency to the Lab’s social media presence by designing templates that maintained the brand’s visual identity. These templates were designed for ease of use, enabling the team to produce content that aligns with the established brand guidelines.

To enhance the Lab’s outreach, I developed a suite of marketing materials for both digital and print formats. Additionally, I created a range of merchandise designs, including apparel, that effectively promoted the Lab’s brand and message.

I designed PowerPoint templates to facilitate the Lab’s internal and external presentations.

I also created a video for the Lab’s upcoming website, which explores the history of Black culture following the Civil War. This video was a key element in bringing the Lab’s narrative to life.

As a final highlight of my work, I helped create the 2023-2024 yearbook, which captured the Lab’s achievements and milestones over the year. This project was a meaningful way to encapsulate the Lab’s progress and celebrate its successes.
